Adding knowledge to Brain

Use New in Brain, share text into Brain, or type /note or /ingest followed by text or a link in the phone chat composer. Brain saves the original first, then creates a useful title, summary, topics, and project when the source names one. Save original keeps a capture for later organization. Write a note yourself opens the existing note editor.

Notes shows useful authored and organized knowledge. Memories holds kept facts, decisions and preferences. Captures holds originals. Review holds uncertain notes and suggested memories. Everything retains access to generated reports, conversation transcripts, source files and historical records. Project, topic and type collections use Obsidian properties; importing a vault does not require renaming its folders.

Research sources feed the existing compiled-knowledge library. Source material remains available beside its summary. Explicit topic/entity lists take precedence over guessing names from capitalized words. Similar titles do not cause notes to be merged or deleted.

Conversations

Learn from new conversations is optional and starts with new messages after enabling it. The phone and connected computer have separate switches. Useful findings appear in Review with their evidence. Keep memory makes a finding durable; Dismiss keeps it out of the active library. A conflicting or overlapping finding may need review on the computer before it can replace an existing memory.

Processing is incremental: completed or idle conversations are checked when they change. Repeated identical findings share a review item. This avoids creating a new summary for every conversation every day. The existing daily inbox audit remains available for broader review; it does not automatically apply findings.

Open the phone app to send new conversations and receive suggestions. A connected computer can continue organizing its conversations while running.

Background organization

Background organization is being prepared for release. It lets uploaded captures finish organizing after you close the app. A daily review connects related sources, with suggested updates waiting for you in Review. New conversations are included only when conversation learning is on.

You will see the price before turning it on and can choose a daily spending limit. Only material already sent can be processed while the phone is closed. Open the app again to send new material and receive completed notes.

Everyday intake does not require a connected computer or a separate assistant app. Your original remains available if organization cannot finish.

Supported phone inputs are pasted text, a supported public web page, dictation and text files. For other documents, paste the passage you want to keep.
