Your Brain on phone and desktop

With supporting versions of HivemindOS Mobile and Desktop, your phone keeps its own notes and skills. You can read and edit them without a desktop connection. Linking a desktop lets the devices exchange their notes, skills, and supported attachments.

Your existing desktop notes stay in its chosen Brain folder. Changes made in Obsidian can reach the phone, and phone changes become ordinary files that you can open on the desktop. Devices need to be connected for new changes to travel between them.

If both sides change the same file, HivemindOS keeps both versions. Extra copies stay in your Brain so you can compare them. Removed and replaced desktop files also have recoverable copies in the vault’s trash. A temporarily unavailable device does not mean its notes were deleted.

Some large or inaccessible files may need attention. A partial sync keeps the notes it could read and does not treat unseen files as deletions.

Obsidian is optional. You can include an Obsidian folder on your phone and manage Obsidian Sync in the Obsidian app. Your phone’s own Brain remains available when that folder is disconnected.
