HivemindOS manual
Settings, Files, Alerts, And Checks & Repairs
The More menu holds the views that keep HivemindOS running smoothly after setup: saved keys, files, alerts, and health checks.
Saved keys
Use More → Saved keys to add, update, import, or remove keys and settings that agents and connected services use.
- Mark a key shared when permitted agents on your trusted machines should all use it.
- Keep a key agent-specific when it belongs to one agent or account.
- Keep a project-specific value in that project when it should override the shared one.
You can check whether a key is set without revealing it. The hive remembers a key’s name and status but never writes its value into your Obsidian vault. Removing a key can break features that rely on it, so HivemindOS shows what uses it first. See Shared Env.
Files
Use More → Files to browse files that your agents, runtimes, and Hive Superbrain make available. It starts from approved folders, not the whole machine. You can open readable files and save changes where the folder allows it.
Each remote machine uses its own permissions. Access to a local folder doesn’t grant access to a similar folder on another machine. When a task needs a project folder, attach that folder in Chat or Work instead of opening up a broad file root.
Alerts
Use Alerts to review:
- approval requests
- tasks that are blocked or have stopped making progress
- agent or account sign-in failures
- handoff and sync problems
- important completion or system messages
Opening an alert takes you to the related task or setup. Marking it read only clears the unread state. It doesn’t approve anything or fix the problem.
Checks & repairs
Use More → Checks & repairs when My Hive or Chat says something isn’t ready. It checks the dashboard, this machine’s HivemindOS helper, the shared vault, shared setup, agent readiness, Work, and other required parts.
Each repair is narrow and tells you what it will change. It may recreate missing HivemindOS state, restart a local helper, reconnect the vault, or point you to a missing dependency. It won’t erase projects, the vault, conversations, or wallet data.
For a deeper view of CPU, memory, disk, network, and busy processes across your machines, open Computer health. Most of the time the health shown in My Hive and Checks & repairs is enough.
